Ultimate Performance was founded for one simple reason. We wanted to create the most effective method of personal training. Be careful – this is where our passion bubbles over and we have a tendency to leave behind the analytical approach, pragmatism and proven science that we apply to our clients! Other areas of this website describe why and how we’re different (dare we say better!) and how we get to know what our clients need. The aim of this page is to show you why training at UP is so different, and so effective.

To put it simply, we are obsessed with improving what we offer, and with remaining at the forefront of forward thinking, real-world applications of all aspects of physical conditioning. We eat, sleep and breathe health and fitness. We are on call 24/7. We travel all over the world to learn from the best of the best. This shows in the spectacular results we achieve for our clients and for ourselves.

We are totally unique because we both talk the talk and walk the walk. Armchair experts abound (especially, sadly, in personal training), but we are top athletes, world-class athletes, highly qualified and academic coaches and trainers. Many of us have Bachelors and Masters Degrees in sports science, and undertake further study to ensure we’re always at the cutting edge. We love what we do and are constantly learning and training ourselves. After all – if you can’t train yourself, who can you train?

      After a vigorous personal training sessions we all know there’s nothing like a good massage for easing aches and pains. They generally make us feel a whole lot better physically. Who hasn’t wished for a masseur on hand 24/7? This is, of course, not financially feasible for most of us. We tend to see massage as a real luxury. But the truth is that if you strip out most of the fancy accoutrements, over-priced oils and whale music, massage doesn’t need to cost a bomb. Related treatments such as ART® (Active Release Techniques) can really help rehabilitate injuries, and protect your muscles as you develop your strength. At Ultimate Performance we don’t view massage or ART® as an occasional treat, but as a necessity to ensure that our bodies function optimally and without ache, pain and injury. Massage Therapy is an important part of any health and fitness plan. It is now widely recognised by the medical community for the positive effects that it has on mental health, physical health, and the prevention and treatment of many chronic and acute health problems that we face today. Our advice is that anyone who takes their health and fitness seriously should make massage therapy and ART® an integral part of their overall plan. We offer an extensive range of massage services, with an emphasis on enhancing our clients’ recuperation, regeneration and recovery. With the correct treatment of ART® (Active Release Techniques) that dodgy neck and bad back don’t need to hold you back!       As the big day approaches every bride and her entourage has a thousand things to deal with – organising the hen night, attending the bridal shower, making sure that the men do strictly as they are told and nothing more, and of course fitting perfectly into dresses and being in absolute tip top shape for the photos and videos that will be emailed and data streamed across the world to be passed down from generation to generation. Here at Ultimate Performance we are highly experienced in ensuring that women look their best for their big day – whether it is for a wedding or a Victoria’s Secret photo shoot we know how to prepare the female body so that it is at its most svelte, trim and healthy come the big day. We leave no stone unturned and offer a bespoke service that covers every aspect of conditioning, including step by step diet plans, supplementation programmes, hormonal modulation where necessary, and of course every aspect of exercise training from fat loss through to toning up. Our bridal boot camp packages come in two distinct forms. The first is aimed solely at the bride-to-be and is a 6 Week Programme where everything is geared towards ensuring the bride is fully confident in her body as she walks down the aisle. The second package is a 3 Week Plan designed to help all the bridal party members (our minimum number here is for 2 people) get themselves fit, healthy and vibrant in an absolute minimum amount of time. Under other circumstances we would be tempted to call this “drop a dress size in 3 weeks”, but the truth is that dropping dress sizes isn’t the ideal approach for all our clients. It is all about looking and feeling your very best, and the tape measure is only one way to assess progress. Both of these packages incorporate the best aspects of our other services such as our famous Meltdown Fat Loss Programme and Biosignature Modulation, all blended into the ideal programme for each individual client.

When we first came up with a focused training programme designed specifically for football (or soccer, for our American readers) many people couldn’t understand why. After all, we are strength, conditioning and body composition specialists, and football isn’t about any of those qualities.. is it? Actually, yes, we think you will find that it is. Getting into great shape will help your game physically and mentally. If you take two equally skilled players and make one of them healthier, faster and stronger, which one will perform better (and for longer)? If your opponent sees how strong and quick you are, how intimidated do you think they will feel?
