      New courses start September 14th 10 weeks, £100 8-9 pm with Christianne Wolff Astanga yoga, in Sanskrit means 8 limbs. The eight limbs are restraint, observance, posture, breath control, sense withdrawal, concentration, meditative absorption, and "enstasy." ( inside of ) Vinyasa, is a method of synchronizing a series of postures with a specific breathing technique (ujjayi)—a process producing intense internal heat and a profuse, purifying sweat that detoxifies muscles and organs. The result is improved circulation, a light and strong body, and a calm mind. Practice of the Primary Series is designed to cleanse and purify the internal organs of the body through prevention of the accumulation of waste products. Each posture has specific benefits. For example, forward-bending asanas are helpful in toning the internal organs of the abdomen and relieving constipation. The Ashtanga Yoga system places equal emphasis on strength, flexibility, and stamina.

A body conditioning system created over eighty years ago by Joseph H. Pilates. Initially popular with dancers and other performers, the Pilates method has become popular in the fitness world. Exercises are performed on the floor standing, sitting or lying with Pilates Machines. Pilates coordinates mind, body and breath to develop sleek and functionally strong abdominal muscles, a strong and supple back, and aligns the shoulder girdle. Fitness Pilates adds an extra fitness element to the class so you feel like you have had a work out!
