Sterling Training

Most trainers will try and sell themselves to you. I don't want to do that. I just want to sell you great training.

I'm a normal person. I'm nothing special. I get frustrated when things don't always go my way. I sometimes find it hard to get motivated and to know exactly what I should be doing in areas outside my comfort zone. This is why I created Sterling Training as a way to help others to get past these frustrations and get better at being themselves in a way that is complete, consistent, convincing and constructive.

Sterling Training offers personal training that will help you to know more about your body, have a clear plan of action, and stay motivated to put in the work required to make positive changes that will stay with you.

Working with the many systems that operate your body, Sterling Training helps you to both understand and execute every workout in a way that makes the best use of your time and energy to help you to achieve sustainable results.

With Sterling Training you will receive that extra care and attention to detail that will make your workouts more effective. Unlike other personal training, you will be put through a program that is highly tailored to you and based on a deep understanding of the processes that make the human body work. If you want to cut corners, you can download a list of exercises anywhere and get anybody to shout at you until you do it. But if you take that route, you will not get the best results or really know why you are doing what you are doing.

      Add this option if you want to learn exactly why you are doing what you are doing, alongside with the motivation and guidance that normally comes with your training session. This will not add time to your session but there will be a greater emphasis on teaching you about your body and coaching you through the process. This makes for faster results and over time, provides you with the knowledge you need to train effectively on your own.

      Add this option if you want me to contact you throughout the week with tweaks, updates and a bit of motivation and to be able to text me or email with your questions and get an answer on the same day.
    • Weekly tracking of nutrition and progress (per week)

      Add this option if you want to have your physical progress and eating habits measured and tracked as you go. Nutrition is just as important as training when it comes to making changes to your body. This will take the guesswork out of choosing what to eat and when as well as giving you better understanding of the changes you are making to your body.
    • 1 hour consultations (Q&A sessions) (per session)

      Add this option if you want to just have some time to sit down and go through all of your questions and concerns about your training and your body, face to face. This is an informal conversation, led by your questions. This can take place at the gym or another, more comfortable location.

    • 45 minute long One-on-one training sessions (per session)

      If you are really pressed for time or do not feel like you can last for a full hour session, you can choose to take a quick-fire 45 minute blasts instead. This is a no-nonsense workout and you will be pushed hard. There is no time for chat. Replace your one hour sessions with 45 minute sessions if you just want to be told what to do and get on with it.
    • One hour one-on-one training sessions (per person)

      Each one on one training session is an hour long. My approach is to always start with the body and match the training to the outcome you want. The benefit of having another person lead your workout is immense. All the planning is done for you so you just have to worry about turning up on time. You will be pushed beyond where you can get to on your own which makes for faster and greater results. You will get expert guidance on the correct form, posture and technique of every exercise as well as being taught and guided through new movements to get the results that you want in a way that is sustainable, straightforward and safe.

      Add this option if you would like to learn and improve in other ways other than through physical training. Part coaching session, part one-on-one mentoring, With the same methodical yet personal approach as to your training in the gym, these sessions will teach you about the anatomy of your psychology, mindset and beliefs and how to use them to your advantage.
