I LOVE doing hair.

I began my career at 16 and set up a mobile service in Leeds with the help of The Princes Youth Business Trust when I was 20.

Considering a career change in my early 30's, I studied for a degree in Business Studies at the University of Leeds but realised 3 years into the course that hair was what I loved doing. I completed the course, and with a refreshed focus on hairdressing, became a 'hair course junky'!! I could not learn enough about hair and have numerous certificates to proove it! I still go on courses, new products, new colours and techniques, creative cutting, tips on hair up with celebrity hair icons and that's part of why I love hairdressing, if you have the passion to keep improving and moving forward, you can, which is motivating in itself.

This means I can offer the very best service to my clients that I can.

Being a creative, I love the buzz, energy and shared skills created during a photoshoot and catwalk show. They give a different dimension to my work and it's the variety of the work I do that I enjoy.

In 2010, I joined the team at Intuitions Ltd, Harrogates premier training college for Hair and Beauty Qualifications, as an Educator and teach Level 1, 2 and 3 NVQ Hairdressing. I have one class of Level 3 students at the moment and developing their skills and knowledge by passing on my skills and knowledge is fantastic. I love this too! I went back to school myself to gain the teaching qualification Post Graduate Certificate in Education at the University of Huddersfield.
