Antwerp Aesthetics is part of the Antwerp Dental Group which comprises of 8 practices across Cambridgeshire, Hertfordshire and Suffolk. Antwerp Aesthetics was founded in 2008 at Market Hill, Royston, and has since become a well established aesthetics clinic offering non surgical treatments.

At Antwerp Aesthetics we provide a comprehensive range of high quality laser treatments, radiofrequency and non surgical treatments that can be tailored specifically to your individual needs. All treatments are performed by our nurses that are fully trained and committed to providing outstanding care and treatment.

      Botulinum Toxin is injected with a very fine needle into the muscle. It works on the nerve endings preventing the release of chemical messages or neuron transmitters, causing the muscle to become temporarily paralysed. The effects can usually be seen within 10-14 days. Limiting the muscle activity softens and smoothes out the appearance of deep lines and wrinkles. The injections are almost painless and an anaesthetic cream can be applied to the skin for 20 minutes before injections if preferred. We use a product called Azzalure®.

    • Reduce Excess Sweating

      Treatment involves a number of small injections with Botox® using a fine gauge needle into the affected areas. A mild stinging sensation may be felt for a few seconds during injections but once complete there is usually no discomfort. There may be slight flow-text redness around the injection sites which will normally resolve within a few hours. Side- effects include mild bruising or tenderness at the injection site and occasionally increased sweating from other sites. Rare side effects may include itching, myalgia, allergic reactions and muscle weakness. Most patients notice some significant changes within the first week after treatment. The effects usually last between 4- 7 months but may vary according to the area treated and the individual's response.       Restylane® is injected directly into the skin using a fine needle to reduce discomfort. However some clients may find that there is still some discomfort during the appointment. Local anaesthesia is available on request. Immediately after the treatment, there may be slight flow-text redness, mild bruising and tenderness around the treated area. The mild swelling and puffiness usually resolves in a few days and normal activities may be resumed following treatment. Following lip enhancement injections the initial swelling may last longer than other treatments. Some patients experience swelling for about a week and the lips may look slight flow-textly uneven during this time. This will resolve in a few days. Each individual and treatment area responds differently. The aesthetic effect on average lasts for 6-12 months. A comprehensive and informative consultation will be carried out prior to treatment.
