Blog > Trends for Spring Summer 2014 - when it arrives!

Published 20th March 2014

So spring is here, well it was here on Sunday, and that means one thing. Spring cleaning! Oh stop groaning, I mean spring cleaning your look. With Pamper Pad about to go live you may want to start your wish list of S/S hair and beauty services to search for.

Here's a quick round up of S/S 2014 trends to help get that 'to-do' list started.

Hair:

Monochromatic colour. It's hair colour like you mean it. No wishy washy shades or stripy highlights, just solid all over strong colour. Whether its white blonde, glossy hazel brunette or fantastic vibrant orchid, get it coloured professionally and make it bold.

Ombre has evolved and has swallowed up your traditional highlights from the roots. It's now 'Sombre' (Subtle ombre) and more about making your roots (natural shade) blend further down into the lengths of your coloured hair. If you are not brave enough for monochrome this is still a strong trend to go for. Our Pintrest boards have tons of ideas.

Make Up:

Orange is the new black! Not that anyone other than Marilyn Manson fans were ever really wearing black lipstick. Orange, like red, has a shade for everyone. It's about finding the correct one for you. Don't be frightened it can look fantastic, see the catwalk shows for inspiration. See our Pintrest boards for ideas.

The face is pale and interesting this year so ditch the dark fake tan and opt for a light shade or simple natural rosy skin tones.

Fashion:

Orange, pinks, black & white, electric blue, yellow, flora and fauna......the list goes on. Just remember it's bold this spring! One thing I've not seen too much of is the much hyped Radiand Orchid?

Nails:

Nails are so awesome this spring. Ombre colour (a subtle blend of two or three colors) when done correctly look unbelievable and can pull together a whole look. Grey is still a strong colour in spring especially when worn with different shades on each finger. Orange and vibrant orchid of course are also colours to covet. See our Pintrest boards for inspiration.
