Eden Wellbeing

Welcome to Eden Wellbeing, set within Nexus, Cheney Manor. Swindon, SN2 2PN with a free car park on site for ease. We are an inclusive practice and offer a wide range of Complementary Therapies to all client groups but specialise in treating people with Disabilities, Dementia and for Palliative Care.

Eden Wellbeing is owned and run by Allie Maisey, an experienced teacher and therapist of over 20 years. During that time, Allie has spent 20 years teaching Health & Social Care and Complementary Therapies, and 11 years have been spent providing Therapies to patients at Ashgrove House. As well as having a great deal of practical experience, Allie has studied several Palliative Care courses so therefore has an in-depth knowledge of the advantages that Complementary Therapies can have in our lives and the improvement they can give to our health and well-being.

      This ancient treatment consists of a massage to the upper back, arms, shoulders, neck, scalp and face, and is used widely for many conditions, including stress, neck tension and headaches. This treatment is carried out whilst sat in a chair, fully clothed or you can be provided with a gown, and lasts for 45 minutes. The treatment can be carried out with or without the use of hair oil.

      This deeply relaxing and stimulating 55 minute treatment, carried out on a couch, works on the feet and lower legs. It is carried out using the hands and a Thai Stick, by stretching and applying pressure to reflex points. The treatment can help improve circulation, reduce swelling and ease tired feet and legs and will almost certainly send you to sleep!

      Working on deep muscles within problem areas, blood and lymph flow is increased and the fascia of the muscles are stretched. Adhesions and scar tissue can be broken down, which can improve the range of movement. This treatment lasts for 30 (£35) or 40 minutes depending on price, and can involve also using mechanical massage if appropriate.
