Help & Advice > Nutrition for a Summer body

Nutrition is a major player when trying to get the body results you want. You need to fuel your body correctly if you want to be able to get the most from your exercise regime. It’s like putting petrol in a diesel car, it won’t run smoothly. BUT it’s not about counting every calorie and giving up all your favourite foods and drink.

So, anything that looks like it did in its natural state; fruits, vegetables, meat, fish, nuts, seeds, brown rice, grains, eggs, yoghurt, milk etc. To add flavour to your meals use honey, spices and herbs rather than ready-made sauces and artificial sweeteners.

The good part........ once a week have a cheat meal. Yes, this means you can eat anything you want for one meal. So if you have been craving pizza all week have it on your cheat meal day. It can even include alcohol. Not only does this help you stay on track for the rest of the week, it's also a great way to spike your metabolism and shock your body to keep guessing what’s coming next.

Remember, give yourself a break and don’t put too much pressure on being perfect all the time. If you have been off the wagon for a while it will take time to get used to a new lifestyle and see results. If you have a realistic approach you are much more likely to adopt your new way of life for good!
