When all the great New Year intentions are a distant memory by April.

After all the Christmas and New Year celebrations many of us decide that as of 1st January we are going to adopt the perfect lifestyle and lose weight, tone up and get fit by Spring. However, 95% of people give up within the first month. So where does that leave us?

If you are one of these people who feel that as we go into Spring you have already failed in your efforts, please don’t give up. Getting results is all about consistency, not perfection. Too many of us go for the all or nothing approach. Life tends to get in the way of making sure we eat perfectly and workout exactly as we plan but here is the reality on how you can achieve your goals - I promise it won’t take over your life.

  • 20 minutes of Kettlebell work 3 times a week can make a difference to your shape in just 6 weeks! The Kettlebell originates in Russia and has been used for many years as a weight lifting tool.
  • To create a toned lean look I would advise you start with a 5-6kg Kettlebell and then increase the weight or repetitions every 6 weeks to keep teasing the body so results are on-going.
  • A kettle bell work out creates a great combination of cardio and weights. In just 20 minutes you will feel like you have done an hour in the gym. The other good news is you will burn on average 400 calories in any 20 minute workout. So, in just one hour a week you can achieve a difference in your shape.

Kettlebells can be found in most gyms and can be purchased in sports shops and online. They take up very little space and can be performed in your own living room - so no excuses!
